Scouting fields allows our seed reps to find pest or disease issues as early as possible—but can be time consuming for them, as they often have dozens of customers with thousands of acres.

By creating digital notes, we added value to our existing satellite imagery feature to make it easier for users to know 1. which fields are highest priority to scout, and 2. to quickly document and store emerging issues. This allows them to keep track of historical issues on a field, share issues with other farm stakeholders when they arise, and ultimately take action to protect the crop.

I picked up this work midway through implementation, working closely with developers and my trio counterparts to ensure consistency in the experience between mobile and web prior to release.

In 2021, we saw an average of 170 notes created per week on our native mobile app.
